Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Cyprus says nothing about stamps. Nor does there seem to be a PD clause for works created by the government of Cyprus. Although the guideline does say artistic works are copyrighted until 70 years after the creator’s death. In this case the artist, George Bétemps, died in 1992. So these images should be deleted until at least 2063.

- At this time, Cypriot copyright laws were exactly the same as those in the UK. Therefore, these postage stamps, starting from 2014 (that is, as soon as 50 years have passed), are in the public domain. This is a wrong nomination. Andrey Korzun (talk) 09:54, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- From what I can tell Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Cyprus doesn't say anything about the country having the same laws as the United Kingdom. Let alone does is say that stamps are published before 1969 are in the public domain like with the UK. Although it does say that the normal term is 70+ after the authors death. So what exactly are you basing that on? --Adamant1 (talk) 12:21, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- Until 1976, the Republic of Cyprus did not have its own copyright law. The country previously (until 1976) applied British law, since Cyprus is a former British colony. A new law adopted in 1976 established new terms for copyright protection, but this is only true for works created later. The law does not have retroactive force. HuntersHistory (talk) 23:45, 8 October 2023 (UTC) I have removed It from the wiki and think this is better off deleted because it doesn't have a lot of sources and some of the info is wrong, plus the person I got it off didn't really provide much so I think it should be deleted I am sorry once again I am new and don't want disinformation out there. - HuntersHistory (talk) 00:18, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

- All of the information is fragmentary and is not a source of information that would indicate that this map is correct. Freetrashbox (talk) 20:29, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- It would say its not fragmentary. Frontline in western Cayn is east of Qorilugud to Galgal (source); front line in northern Cayn is Buq Dharkeyn (source); frontline in Sool is between Oog and Guumays (source); frontline in Sanaag is southeast of Erigabo (source ); in the rest, today SSC Leader said non-SSC elections not allowed in Sool (source). Eastern Sanaag intermittently leans towards SSC in camaraderie / militarily (source), although is politically aligned primarily with Puntland, with municipalities in biggest cities like Badhan solely holding Puntland elections (source), thus showing major east Sanaag cities under Puntland. Therefore the map is correct. Finnedlio4wagon4 (talk) 00:34, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- YouTube are not reliable sources. The Puntland Post article only states that there was fighting in Erigabo, which is not evidence that it is SSC territory. Freetrashbox (talk) 11:55, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

Per Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Germany German stamps are copyrighted until at least 70 years after the designers' death. In this case I couldn't find any information about the artists, Gregor and Josef Bender, but they clearly haven't been dead for more then 70 years since the stamps were published in 1966. So these images should be deleted until an unknown date unless someone can find out if or when they died.

Same case as Commons:Deletion requests/File:Lyonel Feininger, Frankendorf, 1920 -FG.jpg. As the work is pre-1928, it is out of copyright in the United States, so this can be undeleted/restored by 2027, 70+1 years after artist's death. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 10:15, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- You should do a unique deletion request with multiple files, splitting by single files has no utility, if the reasons for the deltion are the same --Sailko (talk) 10:16, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Sailko there is no rule in compelling nominators to do mass nominations of files of the same work of art. In fact individual nominations are better, to prevent the possibility of an "overloaded" mass DR like COM:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Burj Khalifa, where admins have reported technical errors in admin tools due to overuse of the nomination page. Template:WikiProject Aviation[edit]
This template was created about 10 years ago when the Commons:WikiProject Aviation launched. It was supposed to be added to the talk page of each and every aviation-related file. That's a very enwiki way of doing things and certainly not how we normally do things at Commons. In 10 years, the template has been added to about 200 files in total (i.e. those in Category:WikiProject Aviation media). Clearly, it's not being used for its intended purpose.
I'd like to suggest to just remove all uses of the template and then delete it. --El Grafo (talk) 13:09, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Curtesy ping for @MLWatts who seems to be the only person who ever used the template besides Russavia. The project has been informed about the DR here. --El Grafo (talk) 13:19, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Also, I really don't understand what the sentence "Please discuss the layout of the information page on WikiProject Aviation 's discussion page." is supposed to mean. --El Grafo (talk) 15:45, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete – Adding this template to the talk page of every single aviation-related file is unnecessary and nearly impossible. --Wow (talk) 12:33, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

- Delete, whether or not it is still in copyright in Ukraine, the U.S. copyright still subsists. The monument to the Soviet hero Ivan Dubinsky was most likely made post-1944 (the year of his death). Assuming it was publicly displayed in 1945, it won't be free for Commons until 2036. If 1950, then 2041. Uruguay Round Agreements Act establishing U.S. copyright to all eligible global works is a factor for COM:L. URAA can be ignored if Ukraine has now complete commercial FOP (something that Ukrainian government didn't provide in 2022, sadly). JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 12:48, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
