LR permission request discussion invitation[edit]
Dear Kuatrero:
I'm sorry to bother you!
Hello, I'm BureibuNeko. I send the message to invite you to participate in a discussion about whether I can obtain LR permissions. I think the current vote is unfair, at least relatively. Therefore, if you can participate in this discussion, I will be grateful. ( Whether you support or oppose )
Sorry to bother you again !
In addition, I invite you because you have expressed your opinions on LR permission request page, so this is not canvassing! And thank you again!
Regards,
What color are you, Sibyl System? 11:35, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
Autopatrol given[edit]
Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, the possibility to overwrite files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. 4nn1l2 (talk) 03:56, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Welcome, Dear Filemover![edit]
Hi Bedivere, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:
- Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
- Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
- Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

Works licensed under Cc-Gobierno de Chile[edit]
Hi, I noticed that you've been nominating various images with a {{Cc-Gobierno de Chile}} tag for speedy deletion. Note that speedy deletion is only for obvious cases, where a patrolling admin can immediately understand why the image is not freely licensed as stated. Please use the regular COM:DR process in the future for these kinds of images. If there are restrictions on the applicability of the tag, then you can propose changes to the wording of the template so that everyone can easily see which images are ineligible for the tag. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 06:55, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
Unlikely own work[edit]
Hi, note that "unlikely own work" is not a valid reason for speedy deletion. I've converted some of your tags to regular DRs: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Pedro María Ramírez.png. COM:CSD#F1 says: "Content is a clear copyright violation, with evidence that no Commons-compatible licensing has been issued by the copyright holder." The speedy deletion tagger must provide evidence of their position, which usually comes in the form of a link to another copy on the web which is older and at least as large as the version on Commons, and which does not have a free license indicated at the external site. Without this evidence we are just guessing, which is an acceptable reason for regular deletion, but not speedy deletion. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 02:28, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @King of Hearts: No worries. I will start up some deletion requests next time. It's just that I've found it's less time-consuming and wastes less people's time to just get rid of some copyvios that might be obvious for their low quality and dubious status, as it seems to me in my recent requests. Bedivere (talk) 02:40, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- For relatively straightforward cases that don't fall under speedy deletion, you can also use "delayed" deletion templates such as {{subst:npd}} (if the image names an author who is not the same as the uploader, and there is no evidence of permission) or {{subst:nsd}} (if the image does not have a source, and the source is not obvious from context). -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 02:45, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Por favor[edit]
Hola, Bedivere.

Bedivere (talk) 05:05, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
File tagging File:Academialogo.png[edit]
This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Academialogo.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

Short copyright periods for photos[edit]
I see that you tagged File:Gino Meschiari.jpg for speedy deletion with the rationale "not released under that license". In general, COM:CSD#F1 requires proof of copyvio and reasonable confidence that the image cannot possibly be public domain, so for these older photos it is better to use regular COM:DR. However, in this case it qualifies for {{PD-Italy}}, since the subject died in 1947 (and so any photo of them must have been taken before then). See Commons:Copyright rules/Photographs for more info on which countries have a special short copyright term for photos, including but not limited to Italy, Spain, Poland, Argentina, and Peru. Also be careful about US works (of any type, not just photos) prior to 1989, because they may be public domain as well (see Commons:Copyright rules by territory/United States#Copyright formalities). -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 04:23, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your much appreciated advice, King of Hearts. Will keep that in mind in future tagging. have a good day! Bedivere (talk) 04:32, 27 February 2023 (UTC)

Reversiones[edit]
Gracias. ChuchoVCJMuzik (talk) 16:26, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
Congratulations, dear license reviewer[edit]
Hi Bedivere, thanks for your request for license reviewer status. The request has been closed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. You can now start reviewing files – please see Commons:License review and Commons:Flickr files if you haven't done so already. We also have a guide how to detect copyright violations. Potential backlogs include Flickr review and files from other sources. You can enable the LicenseReview gadget from Preferences.
Important: You should not review your own uploads, nor those of anyone closely related to you!
Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-commons webchat on irc.libera.chat. You can also add {{User license reviewer}} to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your contributions on Commons! Killarnee (talk) 02:20, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you Killarnee and Mdaniels who supported my request. Will do my best! Bedivere (talk) 02:39, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

Commemorative plaque with engrave (free license?)[edit]
Buenas. Since you know more about copyright in Chile than I do, I would like to ask you something. You see, there is an image of the prominent Chilean lawyer and jurist René Ramos Pazos, which I would like to add to Commons. The problem is that I don't know if it can be shared through a free license, since it is an engraving, which is on a commemorative plaque, at the entrance to the Universidad de Concepción School of Law Library. I would really appreciate it if you could answer that question for me.
I am attaching the images, which are uploaded externally to the cloud.
Mi más cordial saludo Monteaguilino1 (talk) 17:02, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Monteaguilino1 perdón por no responder antes. Is that a permanently public place? If so, freedom of panorama applies and the photo could be uploaded without risks. Bedivere (talk) 00:52, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
Chilean Threshold of originality.[edit]
I'm somewhat unfamiliar with what the ToO is like in Chile but COM:Chile hints at it being low? Wanted to check with someone who'd probably know more about Chilean law than I do Abzeronow (talk) 17:50, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- It's a messy subject to be honest. Actually you could submit a drawing of letter "a" in whatever font you find using a digital program/app, and the Departamento de Propiedad Intelectual could grant you a Registro de Propiedad Intelectual (Intellectual Property Registry) number. What most misunderstand, however, is that registering the work does not imply necessarily that it is copyrighted. It serves merely as an "assertion" of copyright. That means that if the work ends up in the middle of a lawsuit, the registry could be used to "assert" (not prove) it is your work and that it is copyrighted. I strongly disagree, as a result, with the example given in the TOO Chile page. It has not been judicially confirmed that phrase (in that particular writing) is copyrighted. We could assume that, in Chile, the threshold of originality is very low or that there is no threshold of originality at all if there is no judicial sentence. Bedivere (talk) 00:55, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
More coat of arms for you to review[edit]
I saw you nominated some files I uploaded to the wiki. Please, do the same (where it should be done obviously) with most of the coats at https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Comunas_de_Chile as their are almost done the same way based on the original one from the city. In some cases, they are supposedluy based on other works, but if you check them... I cannot see relevant resemblance (for instance Escudo de Arica.svg with Coat of arms of Bolivia.svg (they only took the mountain), nor say where they based the artworks as to be an "official" coat of arms. Thanks for making the site more righteous. ravmn (talk) 16:27, 18 August 2023 (UTC-4)
- In some cases these coats of arms are very old and/or are simple enough to not be copyrighted. --Bedivere (talk) 00:02, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Hello Bedivere, thank you for your comment on my RfA. I added some more information in the comments section, does this help you? If not, is there anything else I should add? Thank you again, Gnom (talk) 13:32, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
